When Geriand returns... Empty
PostSubject: When Geriand returns...   When Geriand returns... I_icon_minitimeTue Apr 13, 2010 1:16 am

Now, before we all started to fall apart Geriand was forced to succumb to the selfish nature of the Forsaken once more to save Vraenesha from the hands of the evil Mind Witch Taniel. In this process the dark power of the Shadow once more engulfed him and the Light found it's unlikely host a vessel of darkness and despair once more. He returned to Shattrath and began to meditate and recieve tuition once more from the Aldor Priests and the Naaru to almost not avail. Geriand had once more been truly and utterly abandoned by the Light.

Cursing and raging Geriand's hate for his race and his friends began to grow. Because of their own selfishness, their own incompetance he was now powerless. Even the Shadow had turned against him, declaring that his own resolve, his own ambitions were not selfish or dedicated enough to it's power. Geriand returned to the Apothecarium one day to find Darsolenew had finally been replaced by a woman named Viatrix... he watched powerlessly as the group coordinated effortlessly with the other factions of the Horde, a united and powerful force. His dream of restoring his races glory seemed to have come true... as such, he left. Heading into the darkness he returned to Outland and begun a silent meditation upon the Aldor Terrace, refocusing his body, refocusing his mind. The Apothecarium would need him again, in some shape or form. This much, he knew.

Eventually the hustle and bustle of Shattrath proved to be too much for the Priest's mind. He was all but powerless and had recently turned to the melee arts, training his reflexes and skill with a mace, relying solely on his own abilites and those he gained upon his reincarnation as one of the living dead. It was during of these exercises that Geriand understood the truth. It was not the Apothecarium that needed him, but he who needed the Apothecarium. It had been such a short time ago, yet he had forgotten that if not for the actions of those within it's ranks, he would not be here today. While he floated around reprimanding each and every one of them for their dark and decrepit actions when he had merely been denying them their will. It was at this point that the Light returned to Geriand. The pure and untouched power of the Light. A Light which almost destroyed him upon it's single brushing. It was unfortunate for him that this occured on the night of the The Attonement, as such, his friends amongst the Apothecarium believed him to be dead as he swore that not even the Legion could prevent him from arriving that night,

Geriand awoke several months later in a Temple on the Aldor Terrace. His body's necromatic energies had begun to unravel and many had chosen to simply abandon him. Geriand was fortunate however to have several friends who had fed arcane magic into his aura, allowing his body to slow the process of decay. His body however, had aged greatly. No more was Geriand baring the appearance of a young man who hadn't slept once. Instead, Geriand was now a decayed and decrepit corpse. His body was also in permanent pain. Pain he enjoyed.

He recovered remarkably quickly, too quickly the Neophytes declared. They spied on him one die while he was training and saw him calling upon the Light for no reason other than to cause him pain. When questioned on this strange new behaviour Geriand declared that it made him feel alive. Everytime the Light answered his call the searing heat, the deadly pain would reignite the "spark of life" within this undead. It was decided that he was insane and as such The Order of the Aldor declared him banished until his sanity as such had found a way to recover. As Geriand left Shattrath A'dal stared at his protege, and realised he was never to return.

Geriand began a Pilgrimige of the Light across The Outland and travelled across it, fighting the remainder of the Legion's forces and several Ogre and Fel Orc uprisings during this "Holy Crusade". It was not long before word of him soon disappeared and even The Aldor believed him to be dead. This proved to be a vital mistake on their part when their stables in Nagrand were attacked one night and Geriand's Talbuk and Nether Ray were stolen. This was just the first of several crimes in which robes and items belonging to the former Priest were taken from his chambers and before long, guards were found dead and holy relics which had not belonged to him were taken, including a Shard of a Naaru.

Rumour has it Geriand soon appeared once more in the Eastern Kingdoms. Once there he found an isolated necromatic cult known as the Shadowsworn movement. Working alongside them Geriand learnt how to wield Necromatic magic and soon had mastered the arts required to heal his Apothecary allies without causing pain to them. The Shadowsworn movement took great interest in Geriand's purple orb which he held, an item he refused to allow anyone else to even touch. Eventually the cult learnt of it's true nature when Geriand went on a masochistic rampage and killed them all with the power of the Light remaining in the orb, the true Light no longer responding to his call.

His true purpose now discovered and attained, Geriand set a course for the Undercity. He would rejoin the Apothecarium. Not as on observer. Not as a spiritual guide. But as one of them.

An Extract from the Diary of Anchorite Al'nah Luki - Taken from the Vaults of Nethergarde Watchtower
The following extract was found lying in a pool of blood surrounded by the corpses of five Aldorian Draenei and the remains in their encampment. This document tells of a potential threat to Nethergarde Keep and all Watchmen are to take note of this.
We have spent many days searching for our companion Father Lightsworn.
Since his exile from our hallowed halls it has been speculated that we have feared for his survival. That is a lie. Many of our own do not care for him. He is an abomination after all, an unliving creature of death.
He is also a thief. A coward. A murderer.
He stole the fragment of A'du alongside one of our finest Nether Rays. Furthermore we have reports still coming in which detail Geriand's murderous "pilgrimage" across Outland. Our warparty have been sent to make sure he is brought to justice for his crimes.
We currently rest witihin the Blasted Lands. An area of Azeroth which has been tainted by the Orc's demonic magic.
Our guide tells us that the Naaru Shard is nearby. I am not so sure.
Tomorrow we are most likely to come across the Undead Bastard. I pray to the Light that it shall be by my hammer he is struck down.
