The new overseer said we'd be doing paperwork, might as well keep a diary, get myself used to writing again.

21st of February

We laid Duskmantle to rest today, I gave a bit of a speech, but I wasnt very good, too much stuff running through my mind lately.

I think I understand why Duskmantle did what he did, he did it to restore the hordes faith in us after the Wrathgate. I don't agree with the method, but his intent was good.

Afterwards I went with Miss Claudine to visit her parents graves in Westfall, my old childhood home, it seemed so barren compared to my memories of it.

I only ever visited it once after becoming a captain of the guard, me and the wife took a holiday there, was still green then I think.

Miss Claudine seemed kind of happy to be there, as if the memory of her parents helped comfort her after the days events. Those parents of hers would be proud of her. Kelmith showed up a little while afterwards, said he was visiting Nellie, whos Nellie I wonder.

I like Kelmith, reminds me of me when I was a lad, headstrong and cocky. He always tries to come across as a bloodthirsty savage, but I think he has a good heart, he cares about Miss Claudine more than any other person I know.

I left the pair of them alone to chat, went back to Outland for while.

Might make a little something for Miss Claudine later, as soon as I can find the right metal to make it with.

February 22nd

Bloody Scarlet bastards almost did me in. If it werent for Darkcast and Kelmith I'd have copped it.

Miss Claudine seemed in a bad way, but Kelmith says she'll be back on her feet in no time.

The old orc gave me a right clout for letting a human beat me, why does he treat me like a child, I'm probably older than he is.
